The Metal INFP

Dreamsmith splits into dream and smith: a private vision, and the discipline of forging it slowly. It's the way a smith works one piece of iron, over and over. Precision is the metal half, and it argues the forged thing should hold to a fixed standard, not just a felt one. INFP sits at that same kind of zero, neither outward nor inward, so the disagreement rides on feeling against logic alone. That one strong disagreement carries the whole card. Metal INFP reads as a gap type, and a strong one. Feeling right and being measured right don't line up easily here.

In a small poetry contest, one submission breaks the meter rule in exactly two places. The case for keeping it in the running is made on feel. Something in those two broken lines feels truer than a corrected version would. A technical judge disagrees on the sheet, in writing, citing the rule by number. The piece advances anyway, on a split vote, and the disagreement doesn't get resolved, only outvoted. A handoff matters more than winning the vote does, on the fire side of the cycle. The reasoning behind the feel gets written down and passed to the judge directly, before the next round starts. That way the case exists somewhere besides one person's certainty in the room.
