The Wood INFP

A vine doesn't argue with the trellis, it just keeps climbing toward whatever light is on offer. Climbing regardless of the support is wood's classical temperament. Dreamsmith splits into dream and smith, someone who forges a single material, over and over, until it finally holds its shape. Evolving names a type that keeps reaching for the same light no matter how the support keeps shifting underneath it. Wood INFP stays neutral on the outward axis, so the whole pairing turns on the other axis alone. There, wood's drive to build runs hard against a drive to run on feeling rather than structure, and the gap is wide. That makes wood INFP a strong gap type, tension concentrated in how the material gets shaped.

A collaboration with a new partner organization just started. The founding idea gets flattened into a one-page brief that nobody asked wood INFP to weigh in on. It gets discussed at kickoff as though it were already finished. Something in the compression is wrong, though it would take an hour to explain exactly what, and the meeting only has ten minutes left. A small test built and shown, not a longer argument, does more here. Before the next round of that brief circulates, one small working version of the compressed piece gets built instead.
