Privacy Policy

The BaziTypology team ("we", "us") operates the BaziTypology website (the "Service"). This page explains, in English, how we handle information for visitors using the English-language pages at /en/. The authoritative, most complete version of this policy is the Japanese-language Privacy Policy; this page summarizes the same practices for English-speaking users.
1. Your birth date
The birth date you enter to take the quiz is used only inside your own browser, on your own device, to calculate your type. It is never transmitted to, or stored on, our servers. Anything needed to redisplay your result (such as the type code in the page URL, e.g. ?t=metal_INTJ) is kept only in your browser's local storage.
2. Usage measurement
To help us improve the Service, we collect anonymous, aggregate statistics about actions such as "started the quiz" or "viewed a result", together with the resulting type code (e.g. metal_INTJ) and a locale tag. This is sent from your browser to our /api/track endpoint. This measurement data never includes your name, birth date, contact details, or any other information that could identify you personally. Collected data is stored in a database we contract with (Supabase) and used solely to improve the Service.
3. Local storage
The Service uses your browser's local storage to remember minimal, non-identifying state on your device — for example, a locally aggregated count of the actions described in Section 2, used only for our own debugging and self-verification. No birth date, name, or other personal data is ever written to local storage by the English-language pages.
4. Advertising
Some pages of the Service may use third-party advertising services such as Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies or advertising identifiers to serve ads based on a user's prior visits. You can opt out of personalized advertising via Google Ads Settings.
